Periodic battery replacement is not required. However, a solar-powered watch/clock uses a special rechargeable battery called “secondary cell,” whose performance may deteriorate and charging capacity may degrade due to long-term use. In this case, your solar-powered watch/clock needs battery replacement. Send your watch/clock for repair.
