Always keep clean your watch body and band (either metal or leather) because dirt, rust, etc., may stain the sleeves of your clothes, or your skin, if sensitive, may form a rash due to allergic reactions.
Band on your watch rather loosely providing some allowance to an extent that one finger can be inserted.
When caring for your watch band, do not use solvents such as benzine, thinner, etc., chemicals, and bleaches.

A metal band either made of stainless steel or plated with gold may rust if used when it is dirty. If it becomes sweaty or wet with water, completely wipe it with a soft absorbent cloth, and then store it in a well-ventilated place to dry it well.
Also, wash the band occasionally using a soft toothbrush or the like with a neutral detergent thinned down with water or soapy water to take good care of it. At this time, if your watch is not a water-resistant type, be careful not to splash your watch body with water.

When using a synthetic rubber band, like a polyurethane band, or a plastic band, be careful about cracks, cuts, and material deterioration.
Wash the band occasionally using a soft toothbrush or the like with a neutral detergent thinned down with water or soapy water to take good care of it.
