Q1 What is the definition of a timepiece?

A timepiece is "a time keeping instrument for indicating the time."A time keeping instrument is an "instrument which indicate the time or measures a length of time separately or simultaneously."

There are two types of timepieces. One is a watch (which operates in any position, and is made for being carried or worn) and the other is a clock (which can be used in a certain position).

(Note): The above information applies to the members of the Japan Clock & Watch Association and their products.
